Jewelry as art and heirloom. It’s something we talk about and believe. Last night we got to live into that in such a meaningful way 💕

When I turned 13, my dad made me a gold heart pendant, setting one diamond on one side and three on the other to represent 13. I’ve cherished that necklace since then.

And while Papa isn’t here to tell his granddaughter how proud he is of her or how much he loves her, I can bring these sentiments to her through this piece of jewelry … that she received on her 13th birthday.

There’s just something so special about jewelry as a symbol, a holder of memories and as a way to think about, remember and keep close those we love most.
